The BEST cheesesteak I've had in Philly. No question! The price per sandwich is comparable to the several other places I've tried but Dalessandro's steaks are much bigger and more tasty than most other places. The only thing I marvel at is the apathetic, bordering on rude, staff. They all act like customers are an inconvenience when buying their product and keeping them in business. Grow up and start acting like you value the people that provide your livelihoods!

So, my girlfriend and I went on a cheesesteak hunt around Philly, and this was one of the 3 places we tried. For this place, we ordered mushroom cheesesteak with sharp provolone and fried onions. It was tasty, huge, and overall a very solid cheesesteak. Nothing wrong with this cheesesteak at all, but we thought the other two places we tried were slightly better. John's Roast Pork was the best, and Angelo's Pizzeria was second. However, all these places are really comparable with each other, so honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them!

Fresh rolls with a generous portion. I went on a Thursday late afternoon and there was a short line. Guess they are too popular because the service was pretty bad through the phone, but at least my order was correct. To avoid the long wait, I suggest calling ahead. It's all street parking and I got lucky with one in the front. Have cash ready because they do not take card.

I am not a sandwich fan and I generally will not choose to eat a sandwich, however my husband loves sandwiches so I tried it with him and I have to say I never expected to like the cheesesteak this much! The ribeye had great beef flavor and all the chunks of meat was encased with the melted cheese, giving each morsel an additional sharp cheese flavor. The caramelized onions also balanced out the flavors of the meat and cheese well. Their cheesesteak is the chopped cheese version, but it's not exactly minced meat texture, it's more like chopped up beef mixed with melted cheese. Their bread though I think is a main factor in what makes it so delicious - it's soft and buttery with a bit of chew...at least for me the bread definitely makes or breaks the sandwich. If you've never had a cheesesteak before I think this is a good one to try out.

First time in Philly and I was recommended to this place multiple times and it did not disappoint! I ordered on the phone in advance so when we went to pick it up, I just had to run over and pay at the window. The process is pretty efficient and I was able to get in and out quickly. There was a line though despite the pouring rain so I would recommend ordering in advance if you are not a line person. There's no inside, there's primarily just two windows. The left window is for pick up and the right is for ordering in. I ordered the original cheesesteak with the wiz and it was delicious. The meat had a bunch of flavors, the wiz held the sandwich together pretty well and the bread was not soggy at all. I asked for their chili and they provided me with 3 different types. I used all of them and they were amazing. Overall, really great place to intro to philly cheese steaks. I was able to eat a full one before getting full and we also ordered multiple sandwiches and split them in halves so we could try the different types.

Favorite Philly cheesesteak!!!!! It's delicious so go get you some!! People are friendly and efficient. They got a system going with 2 windows. One to order and one to pick up. It's simple. Wait time could vary depending on when you go. One night was 45mins and the next day during the afternoon was 10-20mins. Love this spot!!!

Had a regular Philly Style cheesesteak with wiz and onions. Bread was great. The hype is real. Did have to stand around and wait about 20 minutes. But when there's 40 people in line ahead of you because their steaks are so damn good, it is worth the wait. Next time I'm in the area I'll stop again. Quality meat, great bread.

My first official Philly cheese steak and came here with my friend who says it's the best in town! She recommended I get it "wit wiz" and onions. Fantastic. HUGE sandwich and plenty of leftovers. Tons of ways to customize it. We ordered ahead and order took about 15-20 minutes to be ready. Cash only! They have delicious chips as well- much bigger bags than the typical lays options you think of for take out. Wishing I could get another one of these now.... My husband does not eat beef or pork and was glad to see they have chicken options too for the next time we come to Philly
